While many Coastal Bend residents may be hustling to get their holiday shopping out of the way, now is also the time to think about registering for Spring 2021 credit courses at Del Mar College (DMC). The College’s Outreach & Recruitment Office has scheduled a drive-thru event to get individuals in the “spirit of registering” for spring courses and will hand out information packets, giveaways and even hot chocolate during their recruitment event, “Warm Up to Registration.”

The drive-thru event runs from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16, in the East Campus parking lot next to the Fine Arts Center Music Building. Participants will enter the campus using the Kosar entryway off Ayers Street near Baldwin Boulevard.

To make the drive-thru process faster, participants can pre-register for the event by filling out an online form. If not, signage with a QR code at the Kosar entryway will allow participants to complete the form while waiting in their vehicles.

Have questions about the Dec. 16 event? Contact recruitment specialists at recruit@delmar.edu. Individuals can also visit the Outreach & Recruitment Office events page at www.delmar.edu/becoming-a-viking/discover/tours/outreach-events.html.

Current early advising and online registration is available now through 12:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18. The College will close for its two-week Winter Break at that time; but during the break, students with complete admissions files and no holds may continue to register online.

Registration and other pertinent details are available at www.delmar.edu/registration.

The College will reopen on Monday, Jan. 4, at 7:30 a.m. Spring 2021 credit courses begin Tuesday, Jan. 19.

Several credit course scheduling options are available, including 8-, 12-, 15- and 16-week sessions and the Maymester. Delivery includes online, hybrid or face-to-face formats, depending on evolving pandemic conditions, and will follow the College’s Return-to-Campus Plan phase under implementation at the time.

Both current and prospective students can access WebDMC at www.delmar.edu to view course offerings, which are frequently updated throughout the registration process. Students can also check their financial aid status, review their degree plan and find other information using the WebDMC portal.

Registration questions? Contact Del Mar College’s Student Enrollment Center (before the Winter Break) at enroll@delmar.edu or 698-1290.
