Del Mar TV Providing Live Webcast of Collegiate High School and Harold T. Branch Academy Graduation Ceremonies on May 18

Article by: Rosa Linda Reynoso

Graduation is not only an exciting time for students but also for their families and friends.

Collegiate High School and Harold T. Branch Academy seniors will receive their high school diplomas from the Corpus Christi Independent School District (CCISD) during graduation ceremonies scheduled Friday, May 18, in Del Mar College’s Richardson Performance Hall.

Anyone who can’t attend the events can still see CCISD’s two ceremonies through services provided by Del Mar TV.

Del Mar TV will webcast live both ceremonies, starting 15 minutes before each event begins, with the Harold T. Branch Academy ceremony scheduled for 5 p.m. and the Collegiate High School at 7:30 p.m. Individuals can view both ceremonies at www.delmar.edu/webcasts.

Individuals who miss the live webcasts can watch rebroadcasts on Channel 1301 (formerly Channel 19) through Spectrum, Channel 19 through Grande Cable and on Channel 99 through AT&T U-verse as follows:

Harold T. Branch Academy
1 p.m. on May 26 and June 2
7 p.m. on May 29 and June 5

Collegiate High School
3 p.m. on May 27 and June 3
8 p.m. on May 30 and June 6

DVDs of the recorded ceremonies can be pre-ordered by phone for $20 each by calling 361-698-1328. Visa and MasterCard charges will be accepted. For an additional $2 shipping/handling fee, DVDs can be mailed. Individuals can also pick up DVDs from the Business and Registration desk at the Del Mar College Center for Economic Development (3209 S. Staples) beginning Tuesday, May 29.

As a collaborative partnership between Del Mar and CCISD, the Collegiate High School and Harold T. Branch Academy provide students with high school- and college-level studies. Students have the opportunity to complete certificates, an associates degree or two years of transferable college-level credits toward a baccalaureate degree.

Last week, 61 Collegiate High School and Harold T. Branch Academy seniors combined walked the stage as DMC students and received associates degrees and/or certificates during the College’s spring commencement ceremony at the American Bank Center.
