Career Development Center Offering Job Fairs to Bring Local Employers and Job Seekers Together April 10-11

Looking for a new job or need a career change? Del Mar College’s Career Development Center has partnered with Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend, has to offer two free Professional Job Fairs on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 10-11, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Numerous employers are set to discuss with participants a variety of career opportunities, summer jobs and internships available here in the Coastal Bend. Now’s the time to update those resumes or create one before attending one of the two fairs targeting different job sectors each day.

The first job fair is April 10 in the College’s Harvin Student Center on the East Campus at Baldwin Blvd. and Ayers Street. The second job fair is set for the next day, April 11, on the West Campus in the Coleman Center on Boaz Blvd. off Airport Road at Old Brownsville Road.

Both job fairs are open to the public.

Job seekers can talk to employers representing a variety of sectors. Among those already confirmed to participate are AFLAC, Angels of Care, Carrier, CHRISTUS Spohn, Enterprise, Charlie’s Place, Chick-fil-A, Directions in Research, Fresenius Health Care, Grande Communications, Julian’s Automotive, KEDT, KRIS Communications, Naval Air Station-Corpus Christi, New York Life, Primerica, PSA Airlines, Regency Health Services, Spaw Glass, Texas Department of Criminal Justice Human Resources, Texas State Aquarium, Valero Bill Greehey Refinery, Waddell & Reed, Water Street and Weichert Realtors The Place of Houses, among others.

The Job Fairs feature Coastal Bend employers from a variety of sectors including education, energy, financial, food, health care, hospitality, industry, tourism, transportation and more. Job seekers should bring plenty of resumes and dress to impress potential employers.
