High school students explored careers at Del Mar College with 'Opportunity Now' program organized by XP Synergy. The program helps students with disabilities learn critical life and work-readiness skills to help them grow and achieve their goals after finishing high school.

Free concert at Del Mar to feature retired faculty member, Philip Hiiopens in new window
"Fiesta! Philip Hii" on April 18 will be the farewell performance of a former Del Mar College educator who joined the music faculty in September of 1988 to teach future performers and educators of music. The celebratory concert starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Heritage Campus Richardson Performance Hall.

Women in industry share opportunities with high school studentsopens in new window
On April 11, This One’s For the Gals hosted the 2024 Coastal Bend Women in Industry Conference in Robstown, inviting students to learn about careers in construction, energy and manufacturing. Students from 30 high schools attended the Coastal Bend conference. Among the conference’s volunteers were Del Mar College students Liv Garcia, Sam Marin and Mia Aguinaga, who all attended King High School where they participated in a dual credit welding program. Today, they are studying welding at the College.
