Del Mar College will introduce a new associate degree in metal fabrication in fall 2027, pending approvals from the state and an accrediting association. The college Board of Regents approved the new Associate of Applied Science degree on Sept. 8.

Del Mar College lays out AI roadmap, plans AI-enhanced courses and student tools

The college could begin piloting AI-enhanced programs in fall 2027 while developing new safeguards for privacy and academic integrity. During a Board of Regents workshop on Sept. 8, college leaders laid out their developing AI strategy and said Del Mar could begin piloting AI-enhanced academic programs as early as fall 2027.

Coastal Bend LNG awards $25,000 scholarship fund for San Patricio County students at Del Mar College

Eight recent Ingleside High School graduates have already received full scholarships for the fall semester. Those students are pursuing degrees in business administration, nursing, psychology, respiratory therapy, and social work. Recipients can pursue any degree or program offered at Del Mar College.
