As part of first phase disbursement of CARES Act funding, eligible DMC students who are enrolled in spring 2020 classes and have a completed FAFSA are receiving $300 to $500 Emergency Financial Aid grants based on their needs.

Del Mar College is considered a Third-Party Skills Test location for Commercial Driver's Licenses (CDLs) and offers knowledge and skills tests in truck driver training in its Transportation Training Services program. Director John Rojas says aid the job market for getting a CDL through the College's program is booming, and the program gets calls every week from people inquiring about the truck driving profession.

Design project highlights need for North Beach substationopens in new window
Members of the North Beach Task Force worked with second-year Del Mar College Architecture students to design a potential fire and police substation. Two-student teams made their pitches to Police Chief Mike Markle and Fire Chief Robert Rocha on April 6 with both men. very impressed with the DMC students' designs.
