Del Mar College Update
Del Mar College received information over the weekend that three students have tested positive for COVID-19. The three students are in different degree programs and the cases are not related. All three students were immediately instructed to self-isolate. As a result of the positive cases, 35 additional students and eight employees who were in close-contact with the individuals have been asked to self-isolate.
The areas on West Campus where the exposures occurred have been disinfected. Those who were identified as being exposed to the virus (per Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines) while on DMC property have been personally notified by a DMC representative.
