Del Mar College opening at noon Aug. 22 in anticipation of tropical storm conditions

(Posted 7:20 p.m., Aug. 21, 2023) Del Mar College will delay campus operations until NOON Tuesday, August 22, at all DMC campuses and centers due to anticipated tropical weather conditions.
Employees should work remotely until noon on Tuesday, then resume their normal schedules on campus in the afternoon. Employees unable to work remotely should contact their supervisors for further instructions. Those deemed as essential personnel will be contacted by their direct supervisor if required to report to work.
Students and employees of Collegiate High School should follow any instructions issued by the Corpus Christi Independent School District.
College officials will continue to assess weather developments throughout this event and share updates as warranted. Please continue to monitor your email messages, the College's website at www.delmar.edu, College social media sites and local news media for further updates.
Please remember to exercise caution through this and all weather events. Avoid flooded areas and roads – Turn around, don’t drown – and observe beach conditions, including riptides.
