Article by: Rosa Linda Reynoso

Graduation is not only a special milestone for students walking the stage but also for family and friends witnessing the occasion. Anyone who can’t attend Del Mar College’s (DMC) Registered Nurse (RN) Pinning Ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 13, or the Fall Commencement Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 15, can still see these events through services provided by Del Mar TV.

Del Mar TV will webcast live the RN Pinning Ceremony from Richardson Performance Hall and the Fall 2017 Commencement Ceremony from the American Bank Center. Both ceremonies start at 7 p.m. with the webcast opening 15 minutes before each event begins. To view the ceremonies online, go to www.delmar.edu/webcasts.

Nearly 603 “prospective” graduates will receive a combined 780 associate degrees and certificates. The Honorable State Representative J. M. Lozano, Chair of the House Higher Education Committee, is serving as the keynote speaker.

Individuals who miss the live webcasts can watch rebroadcasts of both ceremonies on Channel 19 through Spectrum and Grande Cable as well as on Channel 99 through AT&T U-verse. Scheduling is as follows:

Registered Nurse Pinning
9 p.m. on Dec. 20, 27 and Jan. 3
8 p.m. on Dec. 21, 28 and Jan. 4
1 p.m. on Dec. 23, 30 and Jan. 6

For an additional $2 shipping and handling fee, DVDs can be mailed. Individuals can also pick up DVDs from the Business and Registration Desk at the Del Mar College Center for Economic Development (3209 S. Staples) beginning Monday, Jan. 8.
