MAS Summer Seminar Marks 11th Year

Murals, mariachis and traditional Mexican dance were among the highlights of this year’s Studies Summer Seminar, which is presented annually by the Mexican American Studies (MAS) Program at Del Mar College (DMC). The program offers an Associate in Arts degree and covers some of the topics students’ study as part of the annual summer event.

Marking its 11th year and held on Aug. 26 on the Heritage Campus, the free public day-long seminar celebrated and explored the culture and issues impacting Mexican Americans today as well as in the past.
