Article by: Rosa Linda Reynoso

If you think you have to wait until the spring 2022 semester to start at Del Mar College (DMC) ... think, again! Registration is underway for 8-week Session II credit courses, which are a great way to complete some of your classes in half the time it takes during the regular semester schedule.

The 8-week second session courses begin Monday, Oct. 25. Tuition and fees are due by 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26.

The College offers classes using online, hybrid and face-to-face formats. To register or to connect with an advisor, go to www.delmar.edu/registration.

Haven’t completed the admissions process, yet? Get more information at www.delmar.edu/becoming-a-viking/apply/index.html and complete the online Apply Texas form.

Have questions, issues or need help registering? Virtual Assistance is available in the Harvin Student Center on the Heritage Campus (Baldwin and Ayers) Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Assistance is also available in the Coleman Center on the Windward Campus (Old Brownsville and Airport Roads) Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Virtual registration assistance is offered in both centers now through Tuesday, Oct. 26.

Students should sign-in using the College’s Viking Virtual Line at www.delmar.edu/current-students/viking-virtual-line.html, use the VikingGo app or sign up in-person in the Harvin Student Center or Coleman Center.

After using one of the available sign-in methods, students will receive a text message to their designated mobile device. They will then meet virtually with a Student Services representative inside the center where they’re signed-in.

To speak to an advisor, visit www.delmar.edu/registration for contact information.

Face coverings are encouraged at all times in addition to required protocols such as social distancing. Only individuals who are registering may enter the centers. Del Mar College is currently in Phase 3 of its Return-to-Campus Plan.

Still have questions? Contact the DMC Student Enrollment Center at enroll@delmar.edu or 361-698-1290 (Heritage Campus) or 361-698-1741 (Windward Campus).
