The Chicana Art Song Project - April 6, 2022

Del Mar College’s Music Department and the DMC Cultural Programs Series, in collaboration with the College's Mexican American Studies Program, presented “The Chicana Art Song Project,” a multi-disciplinary endeavor aimed at giving voice to female Mexican-American artists that seek to create a new genre of classical vocal art song of the Chicana tradition and culture. The April 6, 2022, performance featured soprano Noël Archambeault, composer Edna Alejandra Longoria and visual artist Melissa Arangua-Johnson.
