The DMC Upside – October 2018

The DMC Upside is a 30-minute TV News Magazine hosted by Carlos Garanzuay and Emily Gonzalez. The October 2018 episode covers the $1.1 million grant award from the Texas Workforce Commission for workforce training, the College’s Hispanic Heritage Month activities, DMC’s observance of “Dr. Hector P. Garcia Texas State Recognition Day” and a $25,000 gift from the Dr. Hector P. Garcia Memorial Foundation to support student scholarships,a new book by one of the College’s Social Sciences Department’s faculty members, mid-term stress therapy for students using pet therapy sessions and an update about the College’s Radio/Television program, among other stories. The DMC Upside airs on digital cable in Corpus Christi and is produced by DMC-TV.
