Third episode of ‘The Story of the Horn’ explores the shofar, didgeridoo and alphorn

Article by: College Relations Staff

The horn has a vast history spanning back to the earliest humans, appearing among all of the world’s cultures in one form or another as a symbol, a sound producer, a utilitarian device and a musical instrument. As technology and human culture have evolved, so too has the horn.

Watch the third episode of the series, “The Story of the Horn,” a collaboration between Del Mar College Professor of Humanities Karl Kemm and College Relations staff members Michael Bratten, Gerard Munoz and Robert Perez, Jr.

This episode explores the history of the shofar, didgeridoo and alphorn, while taking the viewer on a trip around the world.
