Tick Tock … the clock is winding down as registration continues for fall credit courses

Article by: Rosa Linda Reynoso

Haven’t registered for fall credit courses at Del Mar College (DMC), yet? The clock is ticking! The fall semester starts Monday, Aug. 24.

Have questions, issues or need help registering? Now through Saturday, Aug. 22, DMC Student Services is offering Virtual Assistance at the Harvin Student Center on the East Campus (Baldwin and Ayers) and the Coleman Center on the West Campus (Airport and Old Brownsville Roads). Students may take advantage of Virtual Assistance today, Aug. 18, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wed. and Thurs. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Students should sign in to Viking Virtual Line at www.delmar.edu/current-students/registration/, use the VikingGo app, sign up in-person in the Harvin Student Center or Coleman Center or call 361-698-2014. After signing in using one of these methods, students will be asked to wait in their vehicles until they receive a text message to their designated mobile device. They will then meet virtually with a Student Services representative inside the center where they’re signed in.

Individuals are required to wear face coverings at all times, and only those who are registering may enter the centers.

Current online registration runs through tomorrow, Aug. 19. Tuition and fees are also due by 6:30 p.m. the same date. For more registration details and deadlines, visit www.delmar.edu/registration.

Fall 2020 course offerings include 8-, 12-, 15- and 16-week sessions. The College will deliver fall courses in online, hybrid or face-to-face formats depending on evolving COVID-19 precautions. Both current and prospective students can access WebDMC on the College’s home page (www.delmar.edu) to view course offerings, which will include frequent updates and additions throughout the registration process. WebDMC is also where students can check their financial aid status, review their degree plan and find other information.
