In the Memory of Edward Boenau -- August 2019

We plot. We plan. We think things are going to go a certain way and then the unexpected happens. On July 13, Traci Boenau found out that her husband, Edward wouldn't be able to walk alongside her to get the degrees they'd worked towards for years. Afterward, she thought about taking an understandable break from college. Yet in the days after she remembered the words of her husband, "You don't have time to quit. We are doing this for each other and the kids. Failure is not an option". With those words and a portrait of her husband, Traci persevered. On August 16 she walked across the stage receiving her associate's degree in teaching and her husband's degree in business.
